Officer, (504) 862-2871 The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans
has a requirement for a contractor to operate and maintain the HVAC
systems for all buildings located on the District Reservation. The
contractor will provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment,
materials, and parts necessary to operate, perform scheduled preventive
maintenance, and repair the HVAC systems in accordance with the
original equipment manufacturers' specifications. Equipment to be
operated and maintained includes but is not limited to: the electrical
distribution system, single package heat pumps with supplemental heat
strips, central heat pump systems consisting of ceiling mounted air
handling units and remote compressor units, gas fired heaters, central
air conditioning systems with gas furnaces, 340 ton centrifugal
chillers providing chilled water to air handling units supplying
variable air volume (vav) boxes, (the maintenance of these large
chillers is currently under a separate contract), reciprocating air
cooled auxiliary chillers, fan-coil units, an MCC Powers automated
control and energy management system (currently maintained under
separate contract). The term of the anticipated contract will be for
one calendar year and contain options to extend the contract for four
additional one year periods. Contractors interested in responding to
this request for proposal will be required to make a site visit prior
to submission of an offer. Requests for this solicitation should be
