The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA), Office of Job Corps (OJC) is soliciting proposals to: (1) identify the academic, social, and employability skills required for five existing vocational training programs; (2) identify high growth/emerging occupations and add five new vocational training programs in the first year and in each subsequent option year; and (3) integrate academic, social and employability skills with vocational skills. Job Corps is an educational and vocational training program for disadvantaged youth 16-24 years old. The program annually serves approximately 60,000 young men and women at 111 Job Corps Centers. The period of performance for the prospective award will be twelve (12) months from contract execution plus four 1-year options at the government's discretion. The requirement is let under 100% Small Business Set Aside. The SIC Code is 8748 and the Size Standard is $5 Million. Requests for proposals will be available upon written request only, approximately 15 days from the date of publication, on a first come, first served basis, until the supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee will not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the solicitation documents. Closing date for receipt of proposals will be January 6, 1998, at 2:00 p.m. local time. Proposals must cite RFP-DAA-98-01 and must include two self addressed labels. Failure to enclose labels may cause delay in receipt of the solicitation. No collect calls will be accepted. (0302)
