Staples (719)333-2735 This project requires removal of two old passenger elevators and replacement/installation of two new passenger elevators in Vandenberg Hall, (Bldg 2360), United States Air Force Academy, CO 80840. This project includes but is not limited to: removal of two existing underslung passenger elevators including machines and associated equipment, and the installation of two completely new underslung passenger elevators including the necessary machines and equipment. This project will require certain alterations to the exisiting pit, hoistway, rooftop overhead/HVAC exhaust vault, adjacent mechanical duct rooms, electrical closets, asbestos abatement and elevator lobbies on each floor. The project shall be phased so that work on Elevator No. 4 (Phase II) shall not commence until Elevator No. 12 (Phase I) is accepted by the Government. On site construction shall not start until 1 Jun 98. Performance period includes 120 calendar days for administrative matters (lead time for equipment manufacturing) and 240 calendar days for on site construction for a total of 360 calendar days. The estimated cost range of the proposed acquisition is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Solicitation will be available on or about 10 Nov 1997. This is an unristricted solicitation in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and will include the procedures for Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns -- Construction Test Program. Woman-owned and small disadvantaged business concerns are encouraged to submit offers. For informational purposes, the small business size standard for this solicitation is one where the average annual receipts of the concern does not exceed $7.0 million and the SIC Code is 1796.
