III, wgregg@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army TACOM/ARDEC is seeking
qualified firms who can respond to a request for proposal to
manufacture and deliver approximately 80,000 each M795 HE projectile
metal parts. An option for approximately 95,000 each M795 HE projectile
metal parts will also be part of the upcoming requirement. A qualified
source should possess at his site the capability and facility to
forge, heat treat, nose, overlay weld, machine and inspect the M795 as
well as the capacity to meet the required schedules. The projectile
shells are to be made from high fragmentation steel and require
specialized welding skills and equipment. The Government does not
intend to facilitize prospective offerors. Any offeror will be required
to self facilitize at their own expense. Interested manufacturers are
requested to submit a capabilities statement by Electronic Commerce
(EC) to wgregg@pica.army.mil which should address, at a minimum, the
items delineated under the numbered note indicated below. No
solicitation will be issued as a result of this market survey. This
