The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) intends to release a draft RFP/Statement of Work (SOW) for the acquisition of Counter Intelligence, Human Intelligence Automated Tool Sets (CHATS). The CHATS AN/PYQ-3(V) is a portable intelligence automation system that consists of a Pentium based laptop computer, color ink jet printer, page scanner, and digital camera, along with power adapters and phone adapters which allow the equipment to be used worldwide. The system is contained in two hard transit cases and one soft case. The Government intends to purchase these systems under a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. The Government is not calling for offers nor negotiating any acquisition at this time. The sole purpose of this draft RFP is to acquire voluntary industry comments and suggestions on the draft SOW.
