The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide climatic data support services for the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), Asheville, NC. Station history documentation is the main area of support. Other types of work that may be required include data and literature researches, data conversion, data quality control and evaluation, data documentation, programming and ready access to real-time weather products. The contractor's facility must include an operational meteorological analysis system to explore upper air data sets and station information files held by NCDC. The contractor shall also have regular access to computer system resources such as McIDAS and UNIDATA. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract is anticipated for a one year base period with options to extend two additional one year periods.
