The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for services to conduct surveys of housing rental rates and utilities in the Mid South and New Mexico regions. These surveys require that rental housing rate information be collected along with data concerning charges for utilities, heating fuels and related services. The data is collected on a voluntary basis from realtors, landlords and tenants through interviews and personal inspection of each property. This solicitation does not require a real estate appraisal of the subject property. The contractor will be provided with 1) a listing of the communities to be surveyed and the maximum number of samples required in each housing class in each community; 2) a supply of the data collection forms to be used in the surveys and 3) format requirements for data files including computer diskette description and software neccessary to input the data. The solicitation is expected to be issued on/about November 13, 1997. Performance will begin in February, 1998 on the Mid South survey and May, 1998 on the New Mexico survey. All deliverables for each survey region shall be received by the Government within 90 calendar days from each task order start date. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. See Note number 1. (0302)
