A-RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT 17. The Office of naval Research intends to release a Request For Proposals (RFP), for the provision of research and development in the area of personnel security for the Department of the Navy and the Department of Defense. Research and development will focus on clearance processes and security management in conjunction with the Personnel Security Research Center (PERSEREC). The Standard Industrial classification (SIC) code 8731 applies with size standard of 500 employees. It is expected that the RFP will include a two year base period, and three 12-month option periods.
