This announcement is to solicit possible sources for the management of a rental fleet of approximately 500 -- 600 passenger cars and pick-up trucks at the Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake, California. This is only an attempt to find sources that would be interested in discussing possible alternatives to the current in-house, owned and managed, 1984 fleet of vehicles. A rental fleet that would allow customers to check out rental vehicles of less than three years of age and maintained by the rental company is highly desirable. Additionally, the ability to direct bill the customers is a feature that is being considered.
