Z -- BOILER REPLACEMENT, BLDG. 2 SOL IFB 600-007-98 DUE 121697 POC Steven J. Covell Contractor shall furnish F.O.B. destination all necessary labor, materials, equipment and transportation to replace two(2) existing 24,000#/HR watertube boilers with two new 700 horsepower firetube boilers. Work includes asbestos removal of thermal insulation, demolition, structural, patching, roofing, piping, insulation, controls, testing, and electrical. The new boilers are to be firetube, low NOX, steam boilers, 700 horsepower with economizers and new flue stacks. A temporary prepiped/packaged boiler is to be provided during the construction period. All work to be performed at the VA Medical Center, San Diego, CA in accordance with specifications and drawings. Cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Pre-bid conference will be o/a 12/2/97. The solicitation is set-aside for small businesses. Issue date is o/a 11/17/97. Bids will be due o/a 12/16/97. All requests for the solicitation must be requested in writing or in person to Steven J.
