Bechtel Nevada Corporation will issue a Request for Information (RFI) soliciting comments on a draft Statement of Work to provide total telecommunication system service, including installation and maintenance for the DOE facilities located at the Nevada Test Site, Tonapah Test Range, and DOE facilities within greater Las Vegas. The current system, manufactured by Northern Telecom, requires upgrading to meet current and future needs. Comments are to be solicited in regard to the general approach anticipated: to award a subcontract for upgrade of the current system on a sale-lease back basis with all required maintenance and upgrades. The RFI is anticipated to be issued the week of November 17, 1997. The anticipated start of service is January 1, 1999. (0303)
