Monahan, Contracting Officer (757) 628-4639 Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform routine drydock repairs including, but not limited to, the following Minimum Items: 1) Renew Shell Plating in Engine Room. 2) Renew Bulkhead 28 Plating in Engine Room. 3) Inspect and Renew Skeg Top Plate in Engine Room. 4) Renew Transom Ladder Rungs. 5) Renew Aft Steering Access Ladder Mounting and Framing. 6) Clean and Inspect Bulkhead 28 Plating. 7) Restore Open Bridge Windscreen to Original. 8) Renew Watertight Doors and Hatch. 9) Inspect and Test Aluminum Mast. Doors. 10) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts. 11) Inspect Bronze Sleeves in Various Shaft Packing Areas. 12) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings. 13) Remove and Reinstall Propellers. 14) Inspect MDE 8-Inch Exhaust Flapper Valves and MDE Exhaust Piping. 15) Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers. 16) Install Tank and Compartment Vent Goosenecks and Inverted Check Valves. 17) Install New Engine Room Supply Ducing Louvered Inlet Assemblies. 18) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves. 19) Inspect and OverhaulDuplex Sea Strainers. 20) Renew Through-Deck Packing Glands. 21) Install New Brominators. 22) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks. 23) Remove and Reinstall Rudders. 24) Overhaul Stabilizing Fins. 25) Renew Sewage Discharge Piping. 26) Preserve Forepeak Compartment. 27) Blast and Preserve Old Chain Locker/Void Space. 28) Prepare and Prime Weather Deck Surfaces. 29) Preserve Underwater Body. 30) Preserve Bilge Areas Below Fin Stabilizers. 31) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks. 32) Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tank(s). 33) Preserve all "White Exterior Surfaces." 34) Erect Staging and Preserve Aluminum Mast. 35) Inspect and Maintain Cathodic Protection System. 36) Renew Forward Head and Shower Deck Covering. 37) Provide Temporary Messing. 38) Provide Temporary Berthing. 39) Provide Temporary Logistics. 40) Routine Drydocking. Indefinite Items include: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Straighten Propeller Shaft. 3) Repair Propeller Shaft. 4) Repair Propeller Root Erosion. 5) Renew Rudder Bearings. 6) Renew Lower Fin Stock Bearing. 7) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s). 8) Preserve Potable Water Tanks. 9) Renew Reference Electrode. 10) Renew Cathodic Anode. 11) Renew Capastic Fairing. 12) Ultrasonic Testing. Both vessels' homeport is Key West, FL. Vessel length is 110 foot, Island Patrol "A" Class Cutter. USCGC MONHEGAN availability schedule is 23 February 1998 for forty two days. USCGC NANTUCKET availability schedule is 27 April 1998 for forty two days. The place of performance for both vessels is not geographically restricted. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Funds are available for this procurement. The proposed contract listed hereis a part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 18 November 1997. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard.
