Auxiliary Machinery Space Deck. 11) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel and
FP-5 Fuel Tanks. 12) Preserve Voids and Ballast Tanks. 13) Renew Deck
Covering. 14) Renew Thermal and Acoustic Insulation. 15) Install
Overhead Panels. 16) Provide Temporary Messing. 17) Provide Temporary
Logistics. Indefinite Items include: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Additional
Temporary Messing. 3) Additional Temporary Logistics. Vessel's
homeport is Key West, FL. Vessel length is 270 foot, Medium Endurance
Cutter. Vessel availability schedule is 25 February 1998 for fifty
three days. The place of performance for this vessel is its home pier
in Key West, FL. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $100.00
required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the
U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents
are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk,
VA. Funds are available for this procurement. The proposed contract
listed here is a part of the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
after 18 November 1997. All responsible sources may submit a bid which
shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. This Notice is
for information purposes for Minority Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
