The intent of this study is to determine the most efficient and cost effective method of providing logistical support services included in the management and operation of the Directorate of Logistics (DOL) at Fort Drum, NY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The study will determine whether these services should be performed under a contract with commercial sources or through the federal work force. A Government proposal to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Requirements include the following major functions subject to change depending on mission requirements: Logistics Supply and Service, Maintenance, and Transportation. Proposal evaluation will be in accordance with the procedures set forth in OMB Circular A-76 and Section M of the Request for Proposal (RFP). RFP issuance date will be o/a 2 Feb 98. Any resultant contract will have a performance period consisting of a base year with four option years and contract type is anticipated to be a cost plus award fee type. A complete technical, management and cost proposal with associated documentation will be required. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Copies of any resulting RFP will only be provided in response to written requests. No telephone requests will be honored.
