NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Propulsion Test Article Feedline Support Hardware on a sole source basis from Basic Engineers, Inc., Johnstown, PA. There are seven (7) line items that comprise this requirement, they are: Item 1 THREADED SWAY STRUT, SIZE 1/2, C-C DIMENSION 21 INCHES. WITH OPTION 1, quantity 2 each. Item 2 THREADED SWAY STRUT, SIZE 1/2, C-C DIMENSION 21 INCHES, WITH OPTION 1, quantity 2 each. Item 3 MECHANICAL SHOCK ARRESTOR SHORT ASSEMBLY, WITH OPTION 1, quantity 1 each. Item 4 PIPE CLAMP FOR 4 INCH NOMINAL PIPE, quantity 1 each. Item 5 MECHANICAL SHOCK ARRESTOR SHORT ASSEMBLY, WITH OPTION 1, quantity 5 each. Item 6 THREADED SWAY STRUT, SIZE 1/2, C-C DIMENSION 17 1/2, WITH OPTION 5, quantity 1 each. Item 7 THREADED SWAY STRUT, SIZE 1/2, C-C DIMENSION 21 INCHES, WITH OPTION 5, quantity 5 each. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3498 and 500, respectively. The anticipated release date of Request for Quotation 8-1-8-16-B7526 is on or about November 14, 1997. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Prospective quoters shall notify this office of their intent to submit a quotation. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note "B". It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
