THE STATE OF KENTUCKY & CERTAIN COUNTIES OF INDIANA DUE 120597 POC

pkidd@usps.gov. One or more Indefinite Quantity Contracts for Civil
Engineering and Site Planning services including, but not limited to,
boundary & topographic surveys, site utilization plans, site grading
plans, utility planning, site demolition, site details, erosion control
plans, foundation design and plans, slab design and plans, pavement
section design and planning, landscape planning (light), and traffic
analysis required for the construction of U. S. Postal Service leased
and owned facilities. Firms may also be asked to assist the Postal
Service in obtaining State permits for road access, etc. Qualified
firms shall also have the capability and personnel required to perform
Construction Administration services for buildings less than 10,000 s.
f. in size in the state of Kentucky and the following counties in
Indiana; Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Gibson, Harrison, Posey, Scott,
Spencer, Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Washington. The base term of the
contract will be for one year with four one-year renewal options fora
total of five years. Individual work orders will be negotiated for each
project. Generally work orders will not exceed $25,000 each. The
contract maximum for individual work orders is $100,000. The total
amount of work that may be issued per 12-month period for A/E services
for repairs/alterations projects is $500,000. The total amount of work
ordered over the five year period cannot exceed $2,500,000. Firms that
have the qualifications to perform the services described are invited
to submit completed SF 255, "Architect-Engineer and Related Services
Questionnaire for Specific Project", and a completed SF 254
"Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire." Also submit a
completed SF 254 for each proposed consultant. All submittals are to
be postmarked no later than December 5, 1997. Interested firms with
more than one office must indicate on their SF 255 the staffing
composition of the office in which the work will be performed.
Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement
in accordance with the instruction in the following order of
preference: 1.) Firms located within the state of Kentucky . 2.) Firms
located outside the state of Kentucky. Engineering firms will be
considered as local only if their sole office is in state of Kentucky
or they have a local branch office and all of the civil engineering,
coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that
office. There is no restriction of the geographical location of
consultants. The minimum acceptable registered civil engineering
complement of the prime firm is 2 civil engineers. The contract
contains a requirement for firms to provide evidence of current
insurance in the amount of not less than $200,000 of errors and
omissions per claim. At the discretion of the Contracting Officer,
multiple awards may be awarded. It is prohibited to pay any fee,
commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for the project.
No other notification for this project will be made. Submissions will
not be retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals.*****
