The Treasury Department, Financial Management Service (FMS), intends to award a sole source purchase order, utilizing Commercial Item (CI)/Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), to Gunther International, Ltd., 1 Winneden Road, Norwich, CT, 06360, to provide maintenance for FMS' Gunther MS-6000 mail finishing systems. The Gunther MS-6000 mail finishing systems support the development and production of FMS and FMS customer payment applications, and were built according to FMS specifications. The systems utilize intelligent technology to read 2-Dimensional/ID-Matrix and linear barcodes in order to match and enclose checks and documents into the same envelope. Inserts are included according to coded instructions, and an audit trail of the disposition of each mail package is produced. Gunther shall provide preventive and remedial maintenance, including parts and labor, for the Gunther MS-6000 mail finishing systems located at FMS' Chicago and Philadelphia Regional Finance Centers (RFCs). Vendors who believe they can fulfill this requirement must submit a capability statement. The capability statement shall outline how they intend to meet the requirement. Vendors not submitting this information or merely requesting a copy of the RFQ will be considered nonresponsive.
