The Social Security Administration is interested in receivingquotes for the services of a qualified contractor to provide all labor, parts, materials, supplies and supervision to perform preventive and remedial maintenance for parallelredundant 300 kva static type UPS systems complete with theirassociated batteries, water cooled load bank(s) DPS panels andperipherals manufactured by EPE Technologies, Inc. located atthe Wilkes-Barre Data Operations Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA for aperiod of 10 months. The anticipated performance start date isDecember 1, 1997. The equipment to be tested consists of one(1) UPS system consisting of two modules (EPE Model UPS4300M4805480 KVA 300); a systems control cabinet (Model #SCPC-1200); 100 batteries, (Model Exide D 4DX-9B #95019); 10 DPSpanels(Model PD042M48C12-050-3 each; Model SY04248T12050-3each, Model S12648T12-150-3 each, and Model PD042M4C12-050-1 Each). The acquisition will be subject to Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) regarding the acquisitionof Commercial Items, to FAR Part 13.6 regarding the Applicationof Special Simplified Procedures to Commercial Items andServices, and to the principles of past performance evaluationas covered by FAR 15.605. The Government will evaluate quotesfor the "best value" based on price, experience, and pastperformance. The acquisition will also be subject to theconditions of the Service Contract Act.
