212-264-9003. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation -- quotations are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This
solicitation is issued as Request For Quotation (RFQ) number
DACW51-98-T-0010. The Standard Industrial Classification number is 7378
and business size standard is $18.5 Million. This solicitation is 100%
set aside for small business, however, if no responsible small
business submits a quotation that is fair and reasonable, the
Government may award to a large business. Delivery is FOB, NANIMI, NYD,
US Army Corps of Engineers, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278-0090.
Items offered under the terms of a Federal Supply Schedule contract
shall be so stated to include the GSA contract number and terms.
DESCRIPTION: Provide service and maintenance for the following printing
systems for the period 12/1/97 through 9/30/98 (monthly prices): Line
Item 0001: Xerox Printing System, Model 4235-200 Laser Printer, Line
Item 0002: 9E22-4MB Font Memory, Line Item 0003: 7K22 Data Products,
Line Item 0004: 16W Serial/Parallel, Line Item 0005: Page Impress (est.
200,000 copies per month), Line Item 0006: Xerox and (1) Xerox Printing
System, Model 4700, Line Item 0007: Monthly usage (est. monthly usage
of Model 4700 is 20,000 copies. RESPONSIBILITIES OF GOVERNMENT: (a)
Subject to security regulations, the Government shall provide
contractor access to the equipment covered by this purchase
order/contract. (b) It is the responsibility of the Government to
ensure that the printer is used in normal operations and installed in
an environmentally controlled room and provide all setup floppy disks
to the contractor if the printer configuration has to be rebuilt. The
contractor shall not be responsible for any damage to printer if caused
by Government. (c) Calls for repairs shall only be accepted from those
individuals authorized by King Yee, Chief, CENAN-IMO. RESPONSIBILITIES
OF THE CONTRACTOR: (a) The contractor shall provide on-site maintenance
service from 7:00AM-5:00PM, local time, at a pre-determined location
against this contract to keep equipment in reliable working order or,
if necessary, restore to working order. Maintenance shall be provided
on a scheduled basis and in response to notification of breakdowns in
equipment or failure of equipment to work properly. Contractor shall
respond and have equipment fully operational within forty eight (48)
hours of receiving a call for maintenance service. Maintenance will
include lubrication, adjustment, cleaning and replacement of printer
parts, cables, devices, etc. (excluding paper and toner) deemed
necessary by the contractor to ensure that the equipment is in good
working condition. (b) Maintenance parts may or may not be manufactured
by the original equipment manufacturer, however, replacement parts must
be new and compatable with, and at least of equal qualityto, the
original equipment provided by the manufacturer. (c) Replacement parts
will be provided by the contractor on an exchange basis. At all times
during the performance period of this contract, the contractor shall
be responsible for maintaining, or having immediate access to any and
all replacement parts required to repair the equipment covered by this
contract. (d) When parts are furnished by the contractor on an
exchange basis, the non-functioning parts which are removed from a
system shall become property of the contractor. The term "part" or
"parts" for the purpose of this contract refers to any and all interior
and exterior components of a piece of equipment covered by this
contract. (e) Principle period of maintenance: All repair service shall
be performed on a per call basis between 7:00AM and 5:00PM, local time,
Monday through Friday, exclusive of Federal holidays. GUARANTEE OF
PARTS: (a) All repair parts furnished by the contractor shall be
unconditionally guaranteed for at least ninety (90) calendar days from
the date of installation. (b) The contractor shall use only new
replacement parts in effecting repairs. FAR provision 52.212-1,
Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation
with the following addenda: per FAR 12.603(b), the SF1449 is not used.
Paragraph (c), Period of acceptance of offers -- offerors agree to
hold firm the prices of their quotation for 30 days. At a minimum,
quotations must include: quotation number, date specified in RFQ for
receipt of offers, name, address, phone number, DUNS number, Federal
Tex ID number, terms of service and maintenance being offered, terms of
any express warranty, price and any discount terms and remit to address
if different than mailing address. Offerors must also submit a
completed copy of the Representations and Certifications at FAR
52.212-3, and inclusion of a statement specifying extent of agreement
to terms of the RFQ. Failure to do so may be cause for exclusion from
consideration. The following clauses also apply to this solicitation:

52.222.37, FAR 52.225-9. Quotations must be mailed or hand carried to

ensuring their quotations are received no later than 4:30PM, local
