GSA/FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE ORIENTATION SESSION The General Services Administration Monthly GSA Federal Supply Schedule Orientation Session In a continuing effort to enhance the General Services Administration (GSA) procurement opportunities for small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small businesses, the Office of Enterprise Development (OED) will conduct monthly orientation sessions on the Federal Supply Schedule Program. These sessions are aimed at helping vendors understand the contracting opportunities that are available with the federal government under the schedule program and the procedures necessary for responding to solicitation and submitting it to the appropriate contracting office. The schedule program allows GSA to enter into contracts with commercial firms for the purpose of providing supplies and services on a worldwide basis to Federal agencies and the U.S. Military (on a non mandatory basis) at a stated price for given periods of time. Orders are placed directly by agencies with the schedule contractor, and deliveries are made directly to those agencies. Multi-billion dollars in sales are generated under the schedule program. All small businesses interested in learning more about the fhe Federal Supply Schedule should plan to attend the first monthly orientation sessions. The orientation session is schedule for 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m., November 18, 1997, at General Services Administration. 1800 & F Street, NW., Room 6009, Washington, DC 20405. All businesses wishing to participate in the orientation session should register via Internet at Oscar. Watson @ GSA. GOV no later than c.o.b. November 13, 1997. There is no cost for participation in this event, however, only the first 25 confirmations can be accommodated.***** E-MAIL: oscar.watson @gsa.gov, oscar.watson@gsa.gov.
