Dickey, (605)353-9215 The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, equipment, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes removing concrete foundations, steel structures, electrical equipment, service building, chain link fence, and gravel surfacing; clearing and stripping; excavation for substation site and access road, excavation from borrow, excavation for foundations and trenches, and constructing embankments, backfill, gravelfill, and sandfill; chain link fence, gravel surfacing, and seeding; foundations for steel structures, electrical equipment, service building, and Government-furnished microwave tower, fence, gate, switch operating platforms, and equipment cabinet platforms; cable trench; galvanized welded steel; erection of Government-furnished microwave tower and accessories; installing Government-furnished power transformer, station service transformer, power circuit breaker, interrupter switches, switchboard sections,station battery system, and battery charger; furnishing and installing disconnecting switches, combination fuse disconnecting switch/disconnecting switch, and metering units; grounding system, conduit, insulated conductors and cables, bus systems, substation signs, outdoor lighting, and indoor dc and ac distribution panelboards; and 14-foot x 24-foot prefabricated service building. This project is located in Hill County, Montana. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be available in hard copy only. All work must be completed within 364 calendar days after the receipt of a "Notice to Proceed". This solicitation will be issued on or about November 17, 1997. The projected bid opening date is on or about December 18, 1997. This proposed procurement is unrestricted (full and open).
