sought for a flight control trim system to be used on the Ayres
S2R-T-34 and T-65, equipped with standard S2R flight control surfaces.
This system will aid the pilot in maintaining straight and level
flight by use of trim tabs on the primary control surfaces. The trim
control will be on the yaw axis (rudder) and the longitudinal axis
(aileron). The system will be 28 VDC electrically controlled and
operated. Following MIL SPEC or commercial equivalent will be met:
MIL-B5087B, MIL-W-5088H, MIL-E-6051D, MIL-C-38999H, MIL-W-22759D and
MIL-C-27500F. Electrical control switches neeed to be the tactile feel,
hat type, instead of the regular toggle switch. System must be capable
of maintaining control tabs in a fixed position throughout maneuvers,
not to exceed 200 MPH indicated air speed. Trim actuator must have
locking feature to prevent over travel when trim tabs are moved. Need
indicating system that will display position of tabs when system is
trimmed for take-off. Provision for operating during system failure.
