Brumfiel, Contracting Officer (757) 628-4635 Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs to the White Sumac (WLM-540) including but not limited to the following items: (1) Inspect, overhaul and test buoy handling equipment, (2) Overhaul anchor windless assembly, (3) Overhaul boat hoist winches, (4) Renew bridge deck covering, and (5) Provide temporary logistics. Vessel is a 133 Foot Coastal Buoy Tender. Vessel length is 133 feet, 7 inches; width is 33 feet. Vessel homepier is St. Petersburg, FL. Vessel availability is scheduled for February 2, 1998. The performance period is 28 calendar days. The place of performance will be at the vessels homepier. There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Orders must be placed within ten (10) days of solicitation issuance. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 19 Nov 1997 from our office location, Commander (vpl-1), Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic, 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. This notice is for information purposes for minority, women-owned and disadvantaged Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
