Code DAAD05) The U.S. Army has a requirement for nonpersonal
engineering and technical services required to perform the Human
Factors Engineering and systems safety investigations of the technical
test programs for Army aviation material to include but not be limited
to: RAH-66, AH-64 Longbow, AH64A, OH-58D (Armed), MH-60K, MH47E,
Cockpit Lighting, Advanced Controls and Displays, Laser Protective
Visors, Nuclear Flash Eye Protective Devices, MILES/ AGES Systems,
Adverse Weather Target Systems, Air-to-Air Gun and Missile Systems,
Helicopter Automatic Target Handoff Systems, Advanced Chemical
Protective Clothing, Advanced Aviation Life Support Equipment, Aircrew
Micro Climatic Cooling System, Advanced Aircrew Helmet Systems,
Advanced Flat Panel Helmet Mounted Display Systems, Advanced Pilot
Restraint Systems and Advanced Simulators. The objectives of the
investigations are to identify and evaluate human factors and system
safety considerations in the design and operation of aviation related
hardware and software. These investigations include the effect of
maintainability, man/ machine interface, workload, and ease of
operation on the overall suitability of the equipment undergoing
evaluation. Services shall be provided for a period of one year with
four one-year options at Fort Rucker, Alabama; West Palm Beach, Fl.;
Yuma Proving Ground, Az; and Edwards Airforce Base, Ca. No telephone
