59 -- MAGNETIC MINESWEEPING CABLES SOL N00024-98-R-6307 POC 02632M, Ms. Traci Mounts, 703-602-7707 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue Contract N00024-98-C-6307 with BIW Cable Systems, Inc., 22 Joseph E. Warner Blvd., N. Dighton, MA 02674. This contract will be for the production of three (3) Magnetic Minesweeping Cable Assemblies -- Type Q3 Cables (NSN 2S 6150-01-440-3906) during FY98. BIW is the only contractor that possesses the unique equipment and tooling necessary to produce the Q3 cable. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies satisfy the Navy's requirements.
