66 -- RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR THE DETECTION ON SALMONELLA SEROTYPES SOL FSIS-5-W-98 DUE 112198 POC Claudia Andrews The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award Commercial Items Blanket Purchase Agreements utililzing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to BioControl Systems, Inc., 19805 North Creek Parkway, Bothell,WA 98011, for the purchase of the 504 Test Well Kit/Assurance Salmonella EIA, Catalog Number 5000-01. As a result of a Sources Sought Notice in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) on June 18, 1997, FSIS conducted evaluations of potential rapid diagnostic tests designed specifically for the detection of all viable Salmonella serotypes. The 504 Test Well Kit, submitted by BioControl Systems, was determined to be the only acceptable product offered. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AVAILABLE. BioControl Systems, Inc. is the only known source for this product. All interested concerns must identify their interest in writing and fully document their capability to meet the agency's requirements by forwarding a detailed response within 15 days of this notice appearing in the CBD. All responsible sources will be considered by the Agency. If no affirmative written response is available, or is more advantageous to the Government, negotiations will take place with BioControl Systems. There is no solicitation available. (0309)
