notice. The following is a brief description of the Statement of Work.
The Pacific Rim Region has a requirement to provide a variety of
Information Technology (IT) support services such as requirements and
design research, analysis and definition, system development, software
maintenance, and facilities management support services for business,
and scientific and engineering applications. The Standard Industrial
Classification Code is 7379. The contract anticipated value of the
requirement is estimated to be $835 million. The resultant contract
will be used by Government agencies. This solicitation will provide for
the award of a Multiple Award/Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity
(MA/IDIQ) contract known as worldwide Information Technology Support
(wITS). This is a full and open competition, with at least one award
made to a small business concern and at least one award made to an 8(a)
firm. The contract will have a base period of two years and three
one-year renewal options for a total of five contract years.
Performance of this contract will be in the Pacific Rim Region
consisting of California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, and the Pacific Rim
countries and territories: Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Guam, American
Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the
Federated States of Micronesia, as well as other geographical areas as
requirements arise. The RFC document will be made available on the
worldwide Web (IT-Solutions.gsa.gov/wITS) on or about 11/14/97.
Comments received as part of this review may be incorporated into the
final specification and related information. No telephone requests for
the RFC document will be accepted. The Government does not intend to
pay for the information solicited. Any questions should be addressed on
the Web or e-mail to thelma.riusaki@gsa.gov. Comments will be accepted
for a period of 45-days. Thirty (30) days after issuance of the RFC,
the RFC may be updated to reflect or address part or all of the
comments received. Prospective offerors are encouraged to submit any
questions via the worldwide web above. No comments will be accepted
after the 45-day comment period. GSA will not make hardcopies of the
