F -- 099 ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SOL SPO833-98-B-0070 DUE 010698 POC Diane Knight, Contract Specialist, (703) 767-5483 Defense National Stockpile Center is seeking asbestos abatement companies to perform the following requirements: (1) Remove and package 1,100,000 pounds of chrysotile asbestos stored in steel tanks at Letterkenny, PA; (2) Dismantle and dispose of six steel tanks; (3) Provide all operational services and clean-up; (4) Provide environmental assessment; and, (5) Transport and dispose of packaged asbestos in an approved landfill. The asbestos is in a free, unpackaged state, stored in steel tanks. This solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about November 14, 1997.
