Navy requires manufacture of three each Isolation Systems in accordance
Naval Sea Systems Command drawing numbers 7018097, 7018107 and 7018159.
NSWC Sketch Drawings for the Upper Stabilizer envelope also applies.
The required systems will provide shock and vibration isolation for
surface ship electronics equipment in a compact size designed
specifically to protect Navy shipboard electronics equipment from
underwater explosions and the vibrations associated with Naval Surface
operations. MIL-S-901 Heavyweight Shock and Vibration to MIL-STD-167
requirements apply. When combined with the equipment, the systems shall
have a fundamental natural frequency of less than 10 Hz. The
free-standing height of the base unit shall be no greater than 5.5";
approximate footprints are 24" x 30". Predominant materials of
manufacture are aluminum, steel and neoprene. A firm-fixed price
purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
Delivery is F.O.B. Destination to E-Systems, St. Petersburg,FL within
90 days after contract award. It is anticipated that a formal Request
for Quote will be issued to satisfy this requirement. The Total Small
Business Set-Aside has been dissolved in accordance with FAR 13.105.
