Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Sign Language Associates, Inc., 8630 Fenton Street, Suite 408, Silver Spring, MD. 20910, for interpreter(s) for hearing impaired employees. Interpreting services are required on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 8 hours each day (excluding holidays). The period of service shall commence on or about December 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. F.O.B Destination, Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. A solicitation package is not available. This is a notice of intent to sole source and is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested firms must submit capability statements and provide written pricing information. Only written responses will be accepted and must be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this notice. Prospective offers must also provide information detailing past performance in providing similar or like services, for the past three (3) years, at time of proposal submission. The Government anticipates an award date on or about November 25, 1997. Please note: Quotes submitted by FAX will not be accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail quotes to the U. S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310 L Street, NW, Suite 730, Washington, DC, 20223, ATTN: Renea Morton, before 3:00 PM.
