The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a contractor to provide administrative services and public relations support (public information, public awareness, and awards publicity) for the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC). The contractor will recommend targeted or directed audiences and suggest successful mechanisms to educate and increase public awareness of the FLC and its benefits and resources. Services to be provided include administration and management support, operational support and training support. A complete Statement of Work, including a list of deliverables, will be included in the Request for Proposal (RFP) to be issued o/a December 1, 1997. Contract will be awarded for a 12-month Base Year, with three 1-year options. It is anticipated that the contract type will be cost-plus-fixed fee. The applicable SIC code is 8742, with a size standard of $5M. This contract is subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown. Wage determinations have been requested for District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. The contracting officer will request wage determinations for additional localities if asked to do so in writing by November 21, 1997.
