This is to be added after the paragraph for "WEED ERADICATION": PRUNING AND TRIMMING OF SHRUBBERY: Hedges and shrubs shall be maintained in a neat fashion as directed by the COTR. Pruning and trimming shall be done in conjunction with each grass cutting. Pruning shall be done to develop proper shape and growth, to remove broken limbs and growth damaged by insects, disease or by storms and to clear utility poles and lines. All pruning shall be done in accordance with acceptable horticulture practices. All debris shall be removed from Government property. December through March, services described in MOWING; SWEEPING; TRIMMING, EDGING TURF AND WEEDING FLOWER BEDS; WEED ERADICATION; PRUNING AND TRIMMING OF SHRUBBERY are to be provided every two weeks. BIANNUAL SERVICES: Apply fertilizer and pesticide to grass and shrub areas twice a year. BID OPENING DATE REMAINS 18 NOVEMBER 1997 AT 2:00 PM. No fax bids shall be accepted.
