King, 202/708-8367 The U.S. Department of Education (ED) intends to issue a three-month sole source extension to Contract PM 95003101. The contractor is Computer Technology Services, Inc.,1700 Rockville Pike, Suite 315, Rockville, MD 20852. This contract provides support for the presentation of the national student financial training program to financial aid administrators. To do this work, an understanding of the Title IV student aid program and the content of the Fiscal Officer Training workshop as well as an ability to provide post-training services (i.e. monthly and final reports, evaluations, logistics) is needed. ED believes that Computer Technology Services, Inc. is the only source possessing the necessary existing information, resources, and expertise to meet this program requirement within the time required by ED. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). This contract action continues service to provide sufficient time to pursue a solicitation for the follow-on service on a competitive basis. See Numbered Note 22. (0310)
