Region requires the installation of GFM 75 kW EG at Lihue and a 30 kW
EG at Mauna Kapu RTR sites, plus an ATS/BIS, loadbank and associated
equipment at both site, in Hawaii. Contractor will also remove current
EG system and associated equipment, switchboards and power panels from
both sites. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment(except GFM),
materials, supplies, and transportation to accomplish the work in
strict accordance with FAA plans and specifications. The work will
include but not be limited to: electrical work, demolition, painting,
and other associated work. The contractor will be required to perform
70% of the work with his own forces. The period of performance is 70
calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The estimated
price range for this procurement is between $50,000.00 to $100,000.00.
The SIC for this procurement is 1731, Electrical Work, $7.0M size
standard. The FAA has currently 5 known sources that it intends to
solicit for responses to this requirement. In addition to these
sources, the FAA will provide a solicitation to the first 10 firms
responding in writing to this announcement on a first come basis only.

The RFP will be issued to offerors that have met and fulfilled the
pre-qualification criteria as required in the screening information
request (SIR) for this procurement request. An evaluation of potential
offerors shall be performed and will be based on (1) Past performance
and references of similar work performed; (2) Financial capability;
(3) Credit References; (4) Technical expertise with a minimum of 5
years direct responsibility for the installation of 75 kw and 30 kw
engine generators and associated equipment; (5) Bonding Capacity. An
issue date for request for the proposal is currently scheduled for
November 13, 1997 with responses dueon or about December 3, 1997.
