Irma J. Woodard, (216)526-3030, Extension 7443 Contractor shall provide
all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, supervision necessary
for Project 97-1370, Replace Fire Alarm Computer System at the V.A.
Medical Center, 1070l East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106, to
renovate the existing dumbwaiter shaft for new fire alarm riser closets
to be located from the sub-basement level through the sixth floor
level; installation of a complete new fire alarm system through out the
medical center and removal of the existing fire alarm system once the
new fire alarm system is properly working. Work includes but is not
limited to demolition of shaft walls, dumbwaiter equipment, electrical,
mechanical, carpentry, etc and the installation of the fire alarm
system equipment, wiring, conduits, lights, fixtures, strobes, lights
and horns, control panel, electrical boxes, etc., and related items
necessary for the complete fire alarm system in accordance with the
specifications and drawings. A three (3) year maintenance service
agreement shall be provided toinclude labor, equipment, materials,
inspection, testing and repairs and 24 hour emergency service. Offeror
shall be licensed, qualified, approved installer, supplier and
authorized representative of the proposed fire alarm system
manufacturer. All work shall be performed in accordance with OSHA, Life
Safety code, JCAHO, NEC, NFPA, OBBC and other related requirements.
This solicitation is available for full and open competion. The
estimated construction price range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The
Standard Industrial Code is 1731. Contract award is subject to
availability of funds. Solicitation document will be available on or
after November 17, 1997. A limited number of copies of bid documents
will be available upon written request. All requests for this
