The Naval Research Laboratory intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis with Litton Guidance and Control Systems for the purchase an additional Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) for integration into a space vehicle under contract number N00014-97-C-2067. The additional IMU must be an exact duplicate to the flight units already being purchased. This contractor is the only one capable of producing this identical unit since they have the proprietary rights to their IMU design.
