69 -- TABLE-TOP TRAINERS FOR THE M1A2 TANK SOL DAAE20-98-T-0024 DUE 122397 POC Contract Specialist: William Moscoso-309-782-7254/PCO: Dave Elliott-309-782-3814 DESC: Requirement is for five each Table-top Trainer Systems (TTS). This will include necessary training on the operation and maintenance of the TTS at Ft. Knox. A one year onsite software maintenance agreement for the TTS is also required. This will be a Small Business Set Aside procurement. Best Value Acquisition Techniques (BVAT) will be used. FOB is destination. Estimated issue date is 21 NOV 97. Estimated award date is 9 Jan 98. Delivery is due 90 days after award. General Description: TTS is an interactive training tool that simulates the displays of an M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank. The TTS shall have an interactive training tool for the displays of the M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank. Each trainer must be capable of simulating the operation of the Commander's Integrated Display (CID), Driver's Integrated Display (DID), and the Gunner's Control and Display Panel (GCDP). The system shall allow for individual training of tank to tank communications and, or individual crew stations. The M1A2 displays operate on an Abrams Common Software Library (ACSL). The TTS shall interface to the ACSL which is supplied as Government Furnished Material (GFM). The ASCL consists of actual A2 software and additional software. Hardware Description: The trainer shall have a work station with keyboard and network interface; color monitor; touch sensitive screen, mouse, commander's handle like the actual tank, and associated cables and harnesses. The Commander's Handle shall allow the operator to manipulate the CID tactical display cursor as in the actual tank. The hardware configuration shall have at a minimum: 32 MB RAM, 3 GB Hard Drive and capability of 100% growth.
