LAW, (202)231-2151 The Virginia Contracting Activity of the Defense Intelligence Agency intends to issue a sole source contract award to American Institutes for Research (AIR) to analyze the personnel skill requirements of the agency, and to design an occupational structure in accordance with the concepts, definitions, and taxonomy of the Depratment of Labor Occupational Network Information System (ONET). This is a new system, which defines occupations in terms of basic, cross-functional, and occupation-specific skills. AIR developed the ONET model for the Department of Labor. In order to comply with agency requirements for commonality, the Defense Intelligence Agency plans to apply the ONET model and contract with AIR for support. Anticipated date of award is 01 January 1998 through 30 September 1998, with one option year, 01 October 1998 through 30 September 1999. (0311)
