The Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY is seeking qualified Architect-Engineering Firms to provide Structural Design services for various renovation projects. Design services will include observations, test borings, reviewing existing data, calculations, structural analyses, preparing drawings and specifications, construction period duties and site visits. Firm must have in-house capability to provide structural and borings disciplines including supervisors, designers, drafters, specification writers, typists and estimators. It is preferred that firms have a qualified Industrial Hygienist on staff, or, at a minimum, available through subcontract arrangement, in the event that asbestos is identified in the area of renovation. Interested Firms must have working offices within a 60-mile radius of the Albany, NY City limits. The Government intends to award contract for the base period of January 1, 1998 through December 31, 1998, with two (2) yearly renewal options for the periods January 1, 1999 through December 31, 1999 and January 1, 2000 through December 31, 2000. The following Evaluation Criteria will be used during the A/E selection process; (l) Specialized experience of the firm to perform the work required;(2) Capacity of the firm to perform the work within required time frames; (3) Past performance; (4) Specific experience and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the Project Design Team; (5) Geographic location of the firm's working office in relation to the renovation site; (6) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials, and using waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design. Firms desiring consideration must submit Standard Form 254 and Standard Form 255, by Close of Business December 12, 1997.
