SOL TIRMS98Q00017 DUE 112497 POC Contract Specialist, Tina Greene, 972-308-1887 This is a solicitation for a request for bids for service for preventative maintenance and emergency repair work for four (4) Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) at three locations in Austin, TX. Two of the systems are manufactured by IPM/LORTEC, models #BP+150-4820 UPS12 -- 225 and #BP+404820 40KVA. The other two systems are manufactured by Liebert, models #UDA63501A27ASA02 and #UDA63225A27A083. Solicitation number TIRMS-98-Q-00017 is a Request For Quotation incorporating FAR provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-42. The IRS will make award to the responsible, responsive bidder whose bid conforms to this solicitation and provides the lowest-evaluated price. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 7629; the applicable size standard is $5.0 million dollars. This procurement is a small business set-aside; all qualified responsible sources may submit a bid. The IRS intends to issue a Purchase Order for the estimated base year of December 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998 with four (4) option years. Bidders are instructed to provide a firm-fixed price for 5 Contract Line Items (CLINS) -- (one base year and four option years) and indicate price per machine, total for each year, as well as the overall Grand Total. The Government will evaluate bids for award purposes by adding the total price for the option years to the total price for the base requirement.
