NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and the Air Force, 45th Space Wing (45th SW) will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about December 12, 1997, for joint base operations and support services at KSC, Cape Canaveral Air Station (CCAS), Patrick Air Force Base (PAFB), and Florida Annexes. Kinds of services included are: security/law enforcement, fire protection, badging, dispatch, configuration management, crane management, facilities operations and management (O&M), roads and grounds O&M, heavy equipment, disaster preparedness, work control, information services, medical, life support, propellants, and other base services. Potential offerors, potential subcontractors, and interested parties are encouraged to access the J-BOSC internet site at http://www.ksc.nasa.gov/procurement/BSC/bschome.htm . The internet site includes the work breakdown structure, draft RFP, schedule, and other pertinent information. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code and size standard for this acquisition are 8744 and $20.0 Million. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agencies.
