Patterson, Contracting Officer, (408) 242-6563 The Department of the Army, Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center, Presidio of Monterey, CA requires Contractor Owned, Contractor Operated, Organizational Laundry services for a base period, 1 May 98 through 30 Sep 98, plus three option years. In providing these laundry services the Contractor shall provide all labor and material, transportation and containers necessary to pick up soiled organizational laundry on-post, from pick-up points and process off-post, clean and return. They shall also provide walk-in organizational laundry service, payment by the Government IMPAC Credit Card, to other units as assigned or attached to the Defense Language Institute. Offerors will be required to have at least one year past or current experience as a Power Laundry Operator, Industrial Laundress and Dry Cleaning Plant. Proposed contract will be firm-fixed price and 100% set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7218. An Oral Presentation of past performance and management experience, presented to the Contracting Officer, by the acceptable offerors senior management representative at a time and place designated by the Contracting Officer within five working days after bid opening may be required.
