labor, material, equipment, transportation, permits, mobilization and
demobilization required for construction of seven 3-bedroom and one
4-bedroom duplex family housing units in Kodiak, AK. Work includes site
work, utilities and landscaping. Base Bid will construct five 3-bedroom
and one 4-bedroom duplex units. Additive Bid Items one and two will
each construct one 3-bedroom duplex unit. The award of additives is
dependent upon the availability of funds. The estimated price range for
this contract is between $2.5 million and $5 million. Duration of the
contract is approximately fourteen months. SIC Code 1522 applies to
this acquisition. There is a $25 NON-REFUNDABLE charge for each set of
plans and specifications. To obtain plans and specifications you must
send a written request accompanied by your Company Check made payable

informational purposes only: The Department of Transportation (DOT)
Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has
programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to
any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding
Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and
performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an
80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
