The FAA intends to solicit proposals and award a contract for modifications to the existing control wing basement & critical power system at the Minneapolis ARTCC, Farmington, MN. A Screening Information Request (SIR) will be issued on or around 11/18/97, to contractors who have not previously completed a SIR to perform work at the Minneapolis ARTCC. The contract will have a performance time of 60 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of 3/3/98. The estimated procurement is between $250,000 and $400,000. SIC is 1542. The FAA is seeking contractors that have performed total management of, & have also completed with their own workforces or subcontractors, the following: demolition of air handling unit & ductwork; removal & proper disposal of hazardous materials; raised floor systems; install critical power including conduit, conductors, transfer switches, panels; & miscellaneous civil & electrical work in critical facilities such as air traffic control facilities, hospitals, computer rooms, & airport/military facilities.
