Z -- REPAIR, ALTERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF POSTAL FACILITIES IN THE EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA, EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA AND WESTERN MINNESOTA SOL 193045-98-A-0512 DUE 121797 POC Joseph L. Harvey, Facilities Contract Specialist, 913/831-1855, Ext. 444 Repair and Alteration (maintenance) of Postal Facilities. This will be an Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract (IQC-C) for minor repair and alteration (MAINTENANCE) of Postal facilities in Eastern South Dakota, Eastern North Dakota and Western Minnesota. The contract will be for a two year period. The total value of work orders may not exceed $3,000,000.00 over the life of the contract with a minimum of work ordered of $10,000.00 over the life of the contract. No single work order may exceed $250,000.00 and a different work order will be issued to specify the kind and quantity of work to be performed for each project. Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible offer. Responsibility will be determined by, financial capability, work history, references and through past performance contractor must demonstrate the ability and capacity to perform this contract over the life of the contract. At least three (3) performance references of work performed in the last six months, a banking referenceand a bonding company reference is required with proposal per the instructions in the solicitation. If your company will not be performing the work (your company acting as a brokerage house and brokering out work orders issued to your company), include the preceding and following information for each company/individual you will be subcontracting with. Include names, addresses, resumes, performance history, bonding agencies and any other data necessary to evaluate each subcontractor to the same extent the prime contractor is evaluated. Also provide the copies of the agreement you have with said subcontractor. Final award will depend on the qualifications of these subcontractors. It is estimated that $300,000.00 will be charged against this contract, this does not obligate the US Postal Service or it's agents, this is only an estimate designed to help contractors in making an offer. Performance and Payment bonds, certificate of Public and automobile liability insurance, Workers' Compensation, and Employers Liability Insurance is required before award. Bonding will be charged in increments to complete the work required. Successful contractor will be required to submit a subcontractor minority report each Postal quarter for each contract. Multiple awards may be made from this solicitation. Solicitation packages will be available on or about December 14, 1997. No telephone requests will be accepted.
