E2524B HP Mediastream Video Server to be purchased from Odetics, Inc. The digital broadcast server shall use full IPB MPEG-2 compression. Interested offerors should have at least two years experience in the commercial MPEG broadcast server market before submitting an offer. Server must be completely compatible with existing Odetics video servers located at the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service -- Broadcast Center (AFRTS-BC) located at March Air Reserve Base, California. The Broadcast Server msut be completely controlled by Odetics Cart Machines and the Odetics Roswell Facility Management System. Control capabilities include, but are not limited to, simultaneous playback of all channels, record input channel, caching of analog and digital tape stock from a playlist, and separate control of each playback channel. The server shall have its own internal capability to record incoming video, playback of each channel, storage of spot database, playlist creation and manipulation. Itmust have at least 16 hours of primary storage capability at the 8Mb/s rate with optional growth up to approximately 60 hours. The server shall support any combination of three input/output channels with an option to control at least 6 channels.Operation and maintenance training will be conducted by the contractor. On call 24 hour technical support with next day on-site response will be provided. The contractor will install and integrate al components of the broadcast server at the AFRTS-Broadcast Center.
