The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) contemplates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for medical evacuation insurance for U.S. and Third Country National employees and their authorized dependents engaged in employment under USAID direct contracts, subcontracts, thereunder, and personal service contracts (PSC's). Offers will be accepted from insurance companies or their authorized agents. An insurance company may bid, negotiate and contract through an authorized agent if the agency relationship is disclosed prior to the date of proposal submission and the agent acts and contracts in the name of its principal. The RFP is anticipated to be issued on or about November 18, 1997. Upon issuance, the RFP and instructions may be obtained at the internet website http://www.info.usaid.gov". The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request ofan application on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format).
