58 -- EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 24 MONTHS ON CONTRACT DAAB07-92-C-A507. The HT/MT Modernization Program, Contract DAAB07-92-C-A507, will be modified to extend the period of performance for 24 months via two(2) twelve month options for the following Time and Material efforts: Depot Maintenance Support, Engineering Support Assistance; Antenna Refurbishmet; and Installation and Testing. Thirty-three(33) out of thirty-nine(39) AN/FSC-78, AN/FS-79 ad AN/GSC-39 Terminals have been modernized under Contract DAAB07-92-C-A507. The remainig six(6) Terminals will be completed by the end of FY99. The six(6) remaining terminals cannot be moderized without the continuation of the Time and Material Support. The Government does not currently possess the necessary technical documentation to enable competition for these Time and Material efforts. This documentation will not be available until the end of FY99. Harris Corporation is the only source that has the combined technical documentation, resources and facilities necessary to support this equipment and satisfy the Government's requirement since Harris Corporation developed the HT/MT Satellite Terminals under the basic contract.
