This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using solicitation number F0561198T0080. This acquisition is for one each Bod Pod Body Composition System manufactured by Life Measurement Instruments, 1980 Oliveria Road, Suite C, Concord, CA 94520. This is an approved sole source acquisition action as authorized by AFFAR SUPP 5313.106 under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, based on the need for a body composition system that tests body fat percentages using air displacement plethysmoragraphy; is a complete turnkey system fully configured and ready to go; with software user prompts and five minute testing period. No Request for Quote (RFQ) package will be issued. However, all interested sources may identify their product by submitting a complete quote, to include pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered and make and model numbers of the equipment in accordance with the instructions listed below. Only responses containing this data will be considered. If no favorable responses are received by close of business 15 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a purchase order will be negotiated with the above named source. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3845 and the business size standard is 500 employees. One each Bod Pod Body Composition System includes Bod Pod Chamber; computer system with 120 MHz pentium processor, 16 MB RAM, 1.2GB hard drive, 1.44 MB floppy drive, SVGA monitor; digital scale with computer interface; set calibration standards; software license; ink printer; tubing and 50 filter kits.
