Smith, Contracting Officer, (315) 476-7461, x-3601 The Syracuse VA Medical Center intends to make a sole source award to FORE Systems Inc., for Technical Support and Hardware Maintenance, ForeMan 24x7 Strategic Response Package, on the previously purchased computer networking equipment and products manufactured by FORE. The ForeMan support program provides access to a full range of FORE Technical Support capabilities, including all software updates and upgrades, for a fixed annual fee. The VA requires such a comprehensive, high-level support program to ensure that this mission-critical network operates with a minimum of interruption. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. No solicitation document exists. The proposed contract action is for services that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. (0316)
